Sudah beberapa bulan akaun Mediafire saya kononya ‘digantung’, tetapi kesudahannya kita semua pun tahu, semua fail telah dipadam. Saya kira meskipun mendapat aduan, Mediafire bertindak zalim apabila memadam fail-fail tersebut, kerana Mediafire KONONNYA sekarang adalah berasaskan storan awan. Tetapi ia tidak lebih dari mengaburi mata pihak-pihak yang dari dahulu ingin menutup laman ini dari menyimpan fail-fail ‘warez’ dan tidak sah.
Tidakkah storan awan sepatutnya bertindak sebagai tempat salinan sandaran? Ya, biar ada fail yang tidak sah, mereka hanya perlu memadamkan fail yang terlibat sahaja. Mengapa perlu sehingga menggantung akaun dan memadamkan kesemua fail? Status ‘akaun tergantung’ juga adalah sangat tidak munasabah apabila ia tidak dapat lagi diakses setelah kesemua fail dipadamkan. ‘Digantung’ sepatutnya digantikan dengan ‘Dibuang serta-merta’.
