This is not that Mat Kool Ice Cream we’re talking about. But this is much cooler than ice cream. But first thing first, what is metadata?
From The MAT Website:
“Metadata consists of information that characterizes data (e.g. Word documents, pictures, music files, etc). In essence, metadata answers who, what, when, where, why, and how about every facet of the data that is being characterized.”
As an example, your phone’s camera took pictures. But it is not just a plain picture. In the picture itself it contained such informations like when the picture was taken, what type of camera was used, and if you’ve enabled geo-location tag, it will record your location too.
This is where Metadata Anonymisation Toolkit (MAT) comes in handy. So what is MAT? MAT is a toolbox composed of a GUI application, a CLI application and a library.
Because you don’t want to let everybody know about you on the web, or any case that matter. MAT can help you remove those metadata from your files such as pictures, word document, PDF and etc. Unfortunately it can’t anonymise their content, or steganography, watermarks and any kind of overly customized metadata.
These are the formats that is supported by MAT:
Portable Network Graphics (.png)
JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg, …)
Open Documents (.odt, .odx, .ods, …)
Office OpenXml (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx, …)
Portable Document Fileformat (.pdf)
Tape ARchives (.tar, .tar.bz2, …)
MPEG AUdio (.mp3, .mp2, .mp1, …)
Ogg Vorbis (.ogg, …)
Free Lossless Audio Codec (.flac)
Torrent (.torrent)
For Ubuntu and its derivatives users, you can install MAT using this command line:
sudo apt-get install mat
For Arch Linux users, you can grab it from AUR. Use any AUR Helper such as Packer or Yaourt to install it the easy way.
I felt like I’m the man that responsible to write this article to be read by all Malaysian. I can’t stand it anymore. Right now, Celcom is bugging me with the lawyer’s letters, telling me that I still have outstanding balance in my past bill. That is full of BS!
Why? it is simply because I have already paid for it! The story begin when I made my decision to port in to U Mobile a long time ago. After several month jump in and jump out from one telco to another, I came back to Celcom using the same number. So they gave me a different account number, which was the reason why all of this mess happened on the first place.
I’ve already closed the old account, and also paid what was left. When I decided to port out from Celcom and chose DiGi as my new telco, I also PAID for the last bill, which was RM128.45 to be exact. That is not a small amount of money you know. The problem begin when Celcom staff at Alamanda put the payment into my old account! Yes. It wasn’t my fault, it was his! Why in the world you didn’t do everything that you should do, double check, triple check, everything!
So the account that was supposed to be fully paid right now declared as NOT PAID and Celcom sent the lawyers to pursue me because they insist that I have to pay for it. Seriously?? It was your staff fault and then you put the blame on me? Hell no! There you go Celcom, a report to SKMM was made.
Today when I went to Celcom Centre at Sungai Chua to verify my payment, they told me that the system is currently OFFLINE. What in the world?? Have you lost your mind? Do you know that it is really hard for me to get a spare time, to go to your centre and clear all of this BS?
This is not the first time I’ve been in HELL with Celcom. I have past record with SKMM and if Celcom still insist, I will write a report and I will not hesitate to go to the court. Or did I just wrote the whole report in this article? You decide! I won’t pay a dime to Celcom, ever! Fix your system first, and also the Pay-Per-Use for prepaid plan should be repealed! This is a separate issue, which I think I have covered enough in my late article right here :
If you happened to be one of Celcom’s victim, please spread this, let all people know how worst they are. Don’t let any other people be their next victim!
I’m not a fan of a ‘versus’ entry, because I can’t keep myself ‘centered’ towards a good writing. But I can’t stand it when it comes to these two good and soon to be great new social apps. They are EyeEm, and Plague.
So What Is EyeEm and Plague?
Both EyeEm and Plague are the new social network, but both works in a different way, unique ways so to speak. Why? Because EyeEm is a new way for amature or professional photographers working their way to the top by posting their photos and be well known to the world. One can get a lot of followers, likers, same like they can get in Facebook but through this app it is a whole new level where every users in the world can see it, like it, and share it to any other social apps, cloud service or anything that Android throw at you, you name it.
The beauty of EyeEm is that if you have took any pictures using you phone’s camera, the app itself have a lot of amazing filters that you can use to enhance you picture. Once you have post your picture, get yourself ready to have new followers, likers, can also commentators. This app have strong community, about 10 millions (according to other blogs) and they just keep growing.
Plague on the other hand works like viruses. Yeah, I mean it. That’s why the app itself called as ‘Plague’. You don’t have to have likers, or friends, and such things like that. You just have to post your pictures and get notice. Once people started to spread/like your pictures, it will gonna be viral in just a matter of time. Plague is simple. If you like the photo/quote/video, you just have to swipe up. If you don’t, then swipe down. Other than that you can also tap on the photo to read comments or leave your own right there.
Sounds like a simple app right? The simple it is, the better. Same would say ‘less is more’. Where this app emerge as a clear competition to EyeEm is when users don’t have to have followers or likers, on the same time they have what it called as ‘Infected’ people and they can track progress of the ‘infected’ from time to time. Mark my words, it is so addicting I can’t stop to keep swiping. Heh..
Bottomline
Instagram? What’s that bros? We have better alternatives right here. Whether you choose to use EyeEm, or Plague, both of them will make you feels like you’re somebody in this whole community. No matter what you choose to post, what material or whatever you feel convenient to share, make yourself noticed in both of the app, and… the addiction starts.. Right about.. Now..
I’ve been a long time Spotify Premium user since the interface was still white. When I made the switch to DiGi Postpaid, I’ve been ‘forced’ to use Deezer instead of Spotify.
so how was it? Was it good? Or something else?
Deezer vs Spotify
Deezer for me is a new music streaming service that is trying to catch up with spotify. It have various plans, from Bose speaker user, to Sonos and like what I’m using right now, as a DiGi Deezer Premium + Bundle subscriber.
Client/User Interface
I’m not gonna lie here, I like Spotify’s UI more than Deezer simply because it is dark. I will prefer a dark UI over white anytime and every time. But Deezer’s UI is much much cleaner and easier to navigate. Nothing confusing or too messy here.I love the ‘Hear This’ feature over Spotify’s ‘Overview’.
However, for Deezer, it just have two types of media player/client. One is the web player version and the other is Android client. It is unfortunate that Deezer want to keep everything simple by does not provide a client for PC/Mac. I would like to use a PC client over a web based client because I don’t want to put a heavy streaming client in my web browser, and also it will be more usefull with an offline feature in the PC client. But that just me.
Monthly Fee
For monthly fee, both of them have the same rate at RM14.90. But as a DiGi Deezer Premium + Bundle subscriber, I got a discounted price at RM8 monthly only. That is a huge difference and a nice deal for me. Yeah, you know, for my economy and bla bla bla. If DiGi happened to collaborate with Spotify in the future, I will not gonna hesitate and will definitely subscribe to its premium service any time. For now, lets just say I’m happy with my decision to switch to Deezer (sssyhhh, because it’s cheaper!).
Songs Collection/Library
This is another thing that I wanted to let everybody know. Since Deezer just entered the US market, some songs are still not available and greyed out in the player. Other than that several albums that ha been my favourite like In Flames are also not available yet. I hope this will gonna change in the future, but for now we have to deal with it.
Summary
I will not gonna tell everybody to make the switch, because not all of you are a DiGi Postpaid user. But if you think you wanted to try something different, then please do so. Maybe you will like it, maybe you will regret and say “Mehhh, Spotify is definitely a better service’. Yeah, it is bitter for me to say this but Spotify is a better service in terms of songs/library collection, but Deezer is still new. Give it a chance and you will satisfied with it when you find out the songs collection are just like Spotify.
As time goes by, whether it’s for Windows or Linux, I’ll be using 2 video players and one of them is Video LAN Client or VLC. The other one is SMPlayer, but in this article I would like to talk about VLC for Android that has just released as stable version few days ago.
If you happened to be a VLC fan for a long time, you’d already knew that VLC for Android have been in the beta stage for a long time. I’m not quite remember for how long, but I think several years has passed by.
But VLC for Android for sure does not disappointed. For the same reason I love VLC in Windows/Linux, VLC for Android also does the same thing, it played almost everything and it’s fast.
All basic features are there, from gesture to increase the volume, brightness level, to change the interface into a dark theme, you name it. As for the size, the apk is slightly larger than MX Player though.
For those who are curious for how good this player is, head to the Google Play Store because it’s officially available for free. Yes, it is free and what is the best of them all, it is compatible with almost every devices out there.
Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera. Ini sambungan artikel sebelum ni.
Anda dah backup data? Bagus, masa untuk restore iDevices anda. Jika anda update OTA ( On The Air ), disaran restore semula. Jika dah restore, restore sekali lagi.Kerana data banyak akan melambatkan proses jailbreak :3 ( rasanya la. Hahaha 😛 )
Pastikan anda install latest iTunes dan install mengikut bit windows anda. Jika 32-bit, install 32-bit punya iTunes. Jika 64-bit, install 64-bit. Pastikan anda disable Passcode, dan Find My iPhone.

Proses dia agak lama. Saya sarankan anda jangan usik cable, dan komputer anda. Biarkan ja 😛

Jika keluar macam ni, tahniah anda sudah pun selesai restore iOS anda. Tapi kalau keluar yang ni cabut terus cable takpa. :3. Nak cabut tu pastikan 4 second lagi baru cabut.
Then anda unlock screen dan jalani setup2 phone, ambil Set as New Phone, dan jangan use iCloud. ( ni lepas jailbreak baru on iCloud ), sama juga dengan Find My iPhone.

Maaf sejak dua menjak ni agak sibuk sedikit. Ini pun curi sedikit masa untuk post. 🙂
Harap semua sihat2 ya? Jangan lupa jaga kesihatan kerana hujung tahun ni musim hujan tak silap saya.
Eh, terkeluar topik pulak. Haa, saya kembali membawa berita gembira. Maaf lambat nak update dekat sini.
Sebab masa upload benda ni, dah release latest update 🙁
Saya tunjuk contoh iTool 3.

Saya dah cuba backup kat Android sama seperti saya backup iOS :). Saya paham icon ja, jika icon takda, naik tulisan saja haru >.<

Akhir sekali, save contact. Macam biasa no 1 untuk install, no 2 untuk save dan no 3 untuk create contact. Mengenai nombor roman tu saya translate dibawah :3
i = maksudnya Notes
ii = maksudnya Safari
iii = maksunya Calender
iv = maksudnya Message

If you read the title it was not the pot that you used to know this is Potplayer a multimedia player. It was not new in town but not really well known by people, base on the update log that they post on their site it have been around quite long.
I have been a Gom Player user for a very long time until I found this new baby, this player is just what I need, it really easy to use and it doesn’t have to take any tweaking to have the best quality of image and audio.
This player was enhanced with H/W Acceleration which provide you the maximum performance with minimum usage of resource of DXVA, CUDA and QUICKSYNC.
The best thing is you can use this player to watch a 3D image or video, I have not test this features yet cause I don’t have any 3D glasses but to have this function in a multimedia player is something totally awesome.
This player also support various subtitle format and same goes for the codec. If you have been downloading a video from the YouTube recently by using Internet Download Manager you might have seen and meet with my little buddy Mr.MKV and you might realize that he is little bit harder to handle where not all multimedia player can play with him. Well just give him this Potplayer then you can relax and enjoy the show.
If I going to talk about this player this post will be the longest post in the world so why don’t you just test it for yourself and see how awesome this player could be. It will not take time to download and install this player and don’t forget this player is free too so it worth to try.
You can find the link for this player on my blog, click the image below.
Try this player and leave us your thought in the comment section below, adios~
p/s: I really hate multimedia player that stream annoying ads in a player while I’m using it
